We are aiming to offer a diverse range of activities and support for players of all levels and interests. Whether you're a battle-hardened warrior, a skilled crafter, or a master of exploration, there's a place for you at your new home in FFXIV.

We hope to create that feeling of community and kinship for however long you decide to journey with us.

Our History

Founded in 2022, The Matcha Cafe free company began as a group of friends who wanted to create their own guild to build a small community in a little corner of Eorzea.At first we made no attempts to recruit new members as we aimed to get a house and learn more about FFXIV and the community we wanted to add to. In 2024 we finally had an idea of where we wanted to take our FC and began recruiting slowly to grow into a small but active free company. We recruited new and veteran players while keeping a focus on shaping the FC to be a welcoming home for players of all backgrounds and aspirations for the game.As an FC that has an understanding that everyone has their own lives and schedules, we aim to keep growing and sharing in game experiences and providing a warm welcoming environment for like-minded players.

1. Respect
Everyone who is a part of the FC is to show respect to those inside and outside the FC. We will not tolerate disruptive behaviour. Trolling and joking behaviour is only acceptable if the other party is okay with it. Simple. Remember that some members may also be behind in the story or other content. Please refrain from giving away spoilers unless it is in the spoiler channel. When posting spoilers in the spoiler channel please use the spoiler feature so other members can view content at their own risk. This goes for NSFW content that may be posted in the memes channel. That should be the only place that NSFW content is posted if any at all. Also, please respect the fact that officers and members may have busy lives and responsibilities. We can't be online 24/7 which is why the discord is a handy place to reach out to an officer if you have an issue that needs handling asap such as bullying, harassment or anything else that goes against our FC rules. We aim to get back to members as soon as we are able to.2. No Drama
Do not start drama or complications with other members in the FC. Examples would be personal issues outside of the game, discussing controversial topics or being judgmental towards other members backgrounds, sexual orientation ect. Know that we will shut it down swiftly and with the highest authority.3. RP / ERP (Consent)
Use party chat or /t for ERP only. Don't ERP in /say, /shout, /yell, and/or the FC Chat. While we welcome RP-focused players, there is an amount of respect you need to uphold for players who don’t want to be reading explicit content. Otherwise, we want people to feel safe to RP even with other members in the FC provided consent has been given. Just have fun safely. Remember that consent is important when RP and ERP is involved. Not gaining consent before engaging in nsfw content in game or in discord towards other FC members is deemed unacceptable and is an instant ban offense. Continuing to engage in sending unwanted messages in and outside of game is sexual harassment whether the victim is male or female. This will also result in an instant ban and a report in game and in discord.Please also DO NOT message others in the discord privately without their permission to do so.4. Red Button Topics
Please refrain from debating religious or political views inside the FC and discord.
While we want everyone to feel welcome and feel at home within our FC, these topics can bring up raw emotions and cause unproductive debates that can and have turned nasty in the past. We all should respect each others backgrounds and views but in order to avoid arguments or fall outs, we ask that everyone refrains from political and religious debates and sharing of views that may be controversial or upsetting to others. It is okay to think differently and to have different beliefs to others. But we are all here to play a game and have fun/relax. Please remember there is a time and a place for these types of discussions.5. Respect FC leaders’ decisions
Respect the authority of the FC Leaders and Officers. While your opinions on how to do things are always welcomed (pm one of us or post in the suggestions channel). If you can quickly diffuse a situation, that is okay. But if you are unsuccessful, STOP and notify an Officer. Do not do our job for us.

6. No Blacklisting FC Leaders or Officers
No Blacklisting officers or leaders. Issues with officers are to be resolved in a discussion. Speak to another officer/guild master about the issue you have with the officer. We will handle this fairly and often it will be the FC leaders Akari or Andrea that will handle issues that arise in these instances.7. No Advertising
No selling gil for RL currency. If there is something that you would like to put up, please talk to one of the officers first. You can promote your YouTube, Twitch, and streaming accounts through the self-promotions channel.8. Home Is Where the Heart Is!
Our Discord is where all our events are posted as well as our general chats (i.e. where we talk and have fun, get to know each other, and make friends). We want everyone to feel welcome and included within our FC, whether this is in-game or outside of the game in Discord. Please make sure that you show respect to every member and don’t deliberately make a member feel unwelcome.9. Penalties for behaviour against the rules!
Engaging in such offences will subject a member to the three-strike system;
I. The first offence will result in a warning.
II. The second offence will result in a temporary ban of 7 days.
III. The third offence will result in a permanent ban.
The exception to this offence will be criminal activity that will always be met with a permanent ban. Other instant ban offences include;
Racism
Homophobia
Hate speech
Sexual Harassment
Demanding an officer deals with an issue in a way that would be deemed as bullying or unduly harsh. (This will be viewed as manipulative behaviour and will not be tolerated).10. Procedure for complaints
In the instance that you have a complaint or issue, please DM or send a /tell or in-game mail message to Akari, Andrea or one of the Matcha Café officers and we will be sure to message you back in a timely fashion. We have Honoured Matcha's who are our sit ins for times when officers Can not be online to help diffuse situations, however, they only have the authority to ban members if a clear instant ban offense occurs with evidence and do not have the authority to investigate other offenses. Please keep in mind that when making a complaint we need evidence in screen shot form to investigate it fairly. If the complaint is about an incident that occurred in voice chat, please make a full statement explaining what happened and any witnesses to the incident and we will be sure to handle it as best we can.ALL COMPLAINTS ABOUT RULE BREACHES CAN BE POSTED IN THE DISCORD SUPPORT TICKET CHAT CHANNEL UNDER NOTICES!
Please ensure you provide screen shots so it is easier for an officer to offer support.

FC House

For now we have a medium FC house but we currently have the funds for a large. It is just a waiting game now to win a lottery. When we get a large we will give everyone an opportunity to vote on a FC entrance theme for decoration so when ever you visit home, you enter a cosy space that you can be happy with.

FC Private Chambers

We encourage everyone to buy a private chambers as and when you're able to. We enjoy seeing what members are capable of with decorations and we even give out rooms as prizes for FC raffles.

Chocobo Stables

We have stables free for all members to use outside the FC house. We also give members free Thav onions when we have them available free to members to help with levelling your Chocobos.

Submarines

Our submarines and workshop are led by Matcha Officer Faded. If you would like the opportunity to help with gathering for the subs and some crafting just let Faded know in the FC chat or discord.Please bare in mind this will not automatically give you the honoured Matcha role. This role has to be earned with trust and only opens up as and when there are open spots.

Hi everyone! I am Akari the FC leader. I have been a gamer all of my life and previously helped run an active guild in WoW. So yes I am a WoW refugee hehe. I played FFXIV when it first was released but left the game and came back just over three years ago. I decided to start an FC with friends to create a welcoming space for players that will enable us all to make friends and find like-minded players to bash out content with. I enjoy savage content and am a leader of a static and a DRK main.Don't be shy to reach out to me and say hi :)

Heyooo! I'm Andrea, Matcha's number 2! PLD main, mount and minion collector and Blimp pilot! I play to have fun, enjoy teaching new and retuning players and run pvp content.I also enjoy the venue scene and working at Boba Shot Night Club. Make sure you come say hi when you see me.

Welcome fellow Taco's! I am faded and I am the 3rd co-lead and officer of Matcha Cafe FC. I take care of the fc submarines. I spend most of my time at the Golden Saucer farming the coins! I enjoy crafting more than any other content but also help with the FC mount farms.As a founding member I aim to entertain, pet that dog and meet fellow like minded players along the way.

Our FC hosts events such as mount farms, maps and much more! We are aiming to host a raffle once a month for fc members to roll and win prizes such as minions, mounts, and much more. Check out the rota below which is subject to change depending on office availability and any popular suggestions from FC members.

FC Buffs
Please be mindful the rota for FC buffs are subject to change depending on demand and any content that gets added that could require a change.The buffs are reset every afternoon so please keep in mind that Mondays buffs will be put up Sunday afternoon/night and so on.

Our FC are the proud owners of the Boba Shot Venues Network!
Within our network we own 3 venues and are partnered with 1 venue owned by our very own Bob Lobnob & Bathsheba Raanan.

On the ground floor and in the basement of our FC house we have Matcha Café Bath House & Spa, which we open to the public twice every two weeks. Come visit us and have a drink or some food in our cosey Café or relax in our new and improved baths.RP services & room hire available!

Our nightclub sells alcohol infused Boba and has a food menu to compliment our FFXIV themed menu.
We offer services such as private RP, gambling and much more! Our dancers are ready to entertain as you enjoy a relaxing night at our newly renovated venue.We offer wedding after parties for a small fee which includes photo packages for the wedding party.

Café Énchanté is still currently under construction but will be available soon!

Glamour Competition and Raffle Night

Once a month (day TBA) we host a themed glamour competition followed by a FC Raffle. For the glamour competition Akari and two different FC members chosen with /random will be the judges to determine who wins. The raffle will have different items every month depending on what we managed to obtain or what others have contributed for the raffle prizes.Rules for the glamour competition1. Don't use more than 2 pieces from the same set.2. Follow the theme announced and show up to the competition in your glamour ready for judging.3. Be kind to others and supportive of their efforts.4. No raid pieces to make it fair. You can only use one glowy piece.Rules for the raffle.1. We determine winners for each prize using /random in the chat.2. you can only roll once per prize.3. FC officers will determine before rolling whether the number to win is highest, lowest or closest to a certain number.4. When officers call stop you stop rolling immediately so we can check the chat and find the fair winner easily.5. Do not beg other members to trade or sell you any possibly rare items that they have won. They won it fairly and you should let them enjoy their prize.

Monthly comp to win a Gpose and after edit piece. (First comp TBA)

Only two winners will be chosen every month. Some months I may have a busy schedule which would result in me cancelling the competition temporarily.
If you win, your screenshot will be added to the Hall of Fame in discord and below and you will be unable to enter again for 6 months to give other members a chance to win.Rules:
1. Every month a theme will be announced in the gpose competition discord channel. You must follow this theme in order to have a chance to win.2. Only one image submission per FC member is allowed. You can do after edits in photoshop or any other software.3. I don't pick the winners. You guys as FC members do. In order to vote for the winners each month, react to the images you like the most.4. When submitting your image give the picture a name that you think goes with what you have created.5. Have fun and don't feel like you can't enter because you feel you are not very good at gpose. Practice makes perfect and we all begin somewhere.If you win I will contact you to ask any questions needed so I can create your gpose to your liking. Remember that this is not a paid piece and I will be working on it with limited time so I can not do re-edits without cutting into my own working day which I earn a living from. Before I proceed with the piece we will discuss what you would like and I will make sure we are on the same page before I proceed. Examples of some older work are at the very bottom of the page so you can see just a snippet of some of my old work. I am not a professional and do this for a hobby so please do not expect something beyond my capabilities.
